Fernhill School offers the Duke of Edinburgh programme to pupils of S3-S6. We pride ourselves on how many of the pupils achieve both their Bronze and Silver Awards and enjoy sharing in the celebration as they receive their well deserved award at the Duke of Edinburgh Award Ceremony in Hamilton.

 

We use the providers ACE (Adventure Centre for Education) who are an approved centre for Duke of Edinburgh and assist our pupils in all the navigational first aid and camping skills they require for the expedition. With our fabulous school grounds the pupils are able to develop many of the skills needed on site before they embark on their first expedition.
