House System

Fernhill School have a very active house system running throughout the Primary and Secondary school which provides opportunity for pupil leadership, camaraderie and competition. Pupils are extremely proud of their house and work hard to ensure they are well represented in the many activities which take place throughout the school year, from charitable fund raising initiatives to inter house sports competitions with a vast array of creative and inventive activities in between.

Each House has a senior and junior captain responsible for creating and maintaining house moral and participation throughout the year. House captaincy is a challenging and rewarding role and one where pupils are supported by their house teachers.

Pupils are given the opportunity to organise and lead competitions and activities throughout the year and all points earned accumulate towards the much coveted Governor's trophy which is awarded to the winning house at the end of each session.
